Robert brings an experienced design perspective based on more than 20 years of brand and visual communications knowledge to L+C. This multi-practice design history has been cultivated from a creative mix of brand strategy, identity, interactive, environments, industrial design and business management. He began his career in visual arts and architecture, and from there developed a fascination with how brand influences design as an in-house creative with many companies including Nike, IDEO, and Gap Inc. Intrigued by the alchemy of turning disparate elements into cohesive visual communications he co-founded L+C in 2003. Today L+C provides small shop agility with big agency capabilities. Recent clients include Facebook, LinkedIn, Eli Lilly, Dell, Allstate Insurance and The Allstate Foundation. Robert holds a MA in Architecture from the University of Washington, a MFA from the New York Academy of Art, and a BFA degree from NYSID and Parsons School of Design. More recently he attended Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in an Entrepreneurial Small Business program.
With over 20 years of multi-disciplinary design experience, Rob thrives on finding simple, thoughtful and surprising solutions to complex communications challenges. Rob has expertise in creative strategy, brand identity, and the development of print and environmental design systems and has managed creative teams on the agency and client side. Previous to L+C Rob was VP Director of Creative Services for Hamilton Communications in Chicago, Creative Director of Escher Group Limited, Senior Art Director of Lehman Millet, and Project Design Director at Selbert Perkins Design Collaborative. Rob holds a BA in Graphic Design from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning.
Brian oversees the development and delivery of client solutions for L+C Learning and brings over 25 years of corporate, non-profit, and academic experience to his role.
In the role, Brian is able to drive business development opportunities, as well as the design and implementation of leadership development strategies and training, executive coaching, educational program design, HR strategy and cultural transformation. His work in often involves strategy development, learning strategy and content development focusing on both instructor lead, virtual and eLearning formats.
His professional experiences include serving as VP of Client Solutions for Braidio, a Senior Managing Consultant and Cultural Change & Diversity and Inclusion Practice Lead for Capital H Group, Vice President of Client Solutions at Lambert & Associates, Director of Recruiting and Human Resources for Marakon Consulting, Managing Consultant at the Kaleidoscope Group, Director of Admissions and Director of Multicultural Recruiting for the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and Director of Multicultural Recruiting for the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy.
He holds degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Miami University of Ohio.
Kalpana supports the development and delivery of client solutions for L+C Learning to ensure solutions that balance proven theory with business applicability in cultural transformation, building leadership and diversity and inclusion competencies that driving desired organizational change. Prior to joining L+C Learning, she was a management consultant with RHR International working with senior level and high potential leaders in large, global clients. She continued with the development and implementation as a Senior Consultant with Capital H Group, a recruiting and human capital consulting firm. She also worked as an Associate Engineer with IBM as a member of their Aptiva Product Development Team within the Consumer Products Division. She holds a PhD and MA in Psychology from Drexel University as well as a BS in Psychology from the University of Kentucky.
Gloria is a trusted advisor, SME and content provider to L+C Learning. She brings over 25 years of corporate, non-profit, and government experience to her role as Senior Consultant. She has designed and implemented performance management, leadership and development and cultural transformation strategies and training as well as provided executive coaching, contract and union negotiations and mediation. Her undergraduate studies were in Psychology and Education at Loyola University. She also holds many professional certifications including MBTI with the Center for the Application of Psychological Type and Social Styles with the TRACOM Group. Gloria has also served as board member with Project Equality and works with professional organizations such as the American Society for Training and Development and the Human Resources Management Association Committee – Training & Development Subcommittee. Her community projects include work with the Double E Program for high school students in Chicago, IL and Project Equality.
